I shot this movie in 2002-2003 and it was available on DVD and streaming for a while, but the distributor seems to be defunct. People keep asking me about it, so here it is. NESARA was purportedly a "secret law" that would abolish the IRS and make sweeping changes to the government. These changes varied based on who you asked. In one of the more colorful variants, believers claimed that George W. Bush was a reptilian alien who would be deposed by the new law and replaced by a UFO flying Jesus Christ as America's interim leader. NESARA was a precursor to QAnon and attracted the same sort of people. The documentary focuses on a small group of believers who met at the world's first KFC in Utah to discuss NESARA. They were made up mostly of ex and excommunicated Mormons who believed that the law would be announced and implemented imminently, that that the WTC attacks on September 1...

  I published a second edition of The Orphans. Almost the same, but did some editing that I should have done the first time around to clear up spelling errors. The Orphans is a science fiction novel in which Jim, a washed up private detective who suffers from bizarre neurological symptoms, is hired by an anonymous client to locate seven orphans, the only survivors of a mass suicide thirty years ago. The novel is set on Mars, a planet of war refugees, organized crime, drug addicts, and The Church of Great Bliss – a “neurotheistic” religion which practices the post-mortem fusing and disembodied resurrection of the brains of deceased members, resulting in an afterlife of unified consciousness. I once rented an apartment building where mail delivery stopped for a month. There was a problem with the lock box that the mail carrier used to get into the building, and the management did not fix it for a month, so we all had to go to the post office to pick up our mail. A year later, it happened again for two weeks. Then a year after that it happened again for another month. When I complained to the management, they told me they’d already ordered the part and that I was being unreasonable because I was the only one complaining. They would also turn water off randomly for the whole building without warning, as they were always doing some kind of maintenance. A couple times a year I’d have to go to work without showering.
